Frequency Lab Records (F-L-R) delivers inclusive, community-focused creative programmes across Aberdeen and the surrounding region. Our outreach work is designed to support wellbeing, confidence, connection and self-expression through accessible music and sound-based activity.

We work in partnership with community centres, third sector organisations, schools, care settings and local services to bring creative opportunities directly into the spaces where people already feel safe.

Our outreach sessions are non-clinical, person-centred and shaped around the needs of each group. Whether working with young people, adults with additional needs, individuals experiencing mental health challenges or those facing social isolation, we create calm, supportive environments where people can explore creativity at their own pace.

Outreach activity may include:

• Songwriting and lyric exploration

• Rhythm and percussion sessions

• Group music making

• Sound exploration and listening practices

• Creative confidence building

F-L-R exists to remove barriers to participation and ensure that creative expression is available to everyone, not just those who already feel “musical”.
